Germany is full of history from the earliest settlers of celts and other Germanic tribes, all the way up until World War II where only a part of Germany was left standing. From the Thirty Years War to World War I and II, Germany has fallen victim to many wars fought on the homefront. Throughout the ages politics has been very much apart of German history with the Protestant Reformation, the socialist revolution, the Berlin wall, and the economic recession of the early 90's.

Heidelberg Castle	The majestic Heidelberg castle is not only popular because of its renaissance looks but also because it is home to the Great Vat (the world's biggest wine barrel).
