Season VIII: Back in Black
23 August, 2007 -- Valparaiso University Assassins' Guild is starting the next exiting season. Students from all corners of the globe are returning to Valparaiso University. Soon, they will find that terror will grip the campus as assassins duel to become the best of the best. Veterans beware, many new assassins have itchy trigger fingers waiting to kill as soon as possible! May the best assassin win!
Season VII: The Bloody Cesspool
11 April, 2007 -- Valparaiso University Assassins' Guild, will begin a new season soon. People everywhere trek through the swampy cesspool of Valparaiso unaware of the impending death. True to assassin style, they will live their lives oblivious to the destruction about to unfold. May the best assassin win!
Season VI: The Pit of Doom
6 February 20th, 2006 -- At 11:58pm, Valparaiso University Assassins' Guild, will begin a new season. Faculty, administrators, and the whole student body will stand aghast as the ominous cloud of approaching paranoia and chaos once again descends upon campus. What horrors will the melting snow banks reveal? What terror will our friendly neighborhood constructions workers feel as they excavate the stiff, frozen apendages of former students from the Pit of Doom (aka the new union)? It should be a good game. May the best assassin win!
Season V: The Killing Fields -- Let the Game Begin!
6 Nov 2006 -- As of 12:00 am, Valparaiso University Assassins' Guild, Season V: The Killing Fields begins under a cloud of terror. G.Fawkes, in an attempt to destroy this season's festival killing spree, succeeded in her attack against the VUAG HQ. The Assassins will not be daunted however, and plan to proceed with the game as scheduled. May the best assassin win!

Season V: The Killing Fields--Sign up closed
4 Nov 2006 -- If you missed the deadline for signing up for assassins and also missed the extended deadline, then truly, you belong on the incompetent list. Not to worry. There's always next season!
For those of you in the game, start planning. We will begin at the stroke of midnight on Sunday night (i.e. when the calendar changes from Sunday to Monday, at 12:00, the game will begin)! Sleep soundly...

Season V: The Killing Fields deadline extended!
3 Nov 2006 -- As per tradition, I am extending the Assassins deadline to 8:00 pm this evening. While not nearly as cool a time as Thursday at 11:59 pm, it is slightly redeemed by the fact that it falls on a Friday, which is a far more praiseworthy day than Thursday anyday of the week.
A thought to ponder: "Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting because hunting implies the possibility of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing." Happy killing.

Rules and Weapons Updates and Website Format
1 Nov 2006 -- The rules have been updated for the current game to make both weapon usage and point values clearer for the upcoming season. Current players should refer to the "Rules" (especially section 12) and "Weapons" (especially section A.6) links at the top of the page for more information. Also, the format of the website has been updated so that you may now view the website using Mozilla and VU information kiosks across campus. Any questions about this should be addressed to the Umpire.

27 Oct 2006 -- Fellow Assassins: The new season will begin on Monday, November 5 at 12:00 am. All interested parties should inquire by Midnight on Thursday, November 2. And always remember: The know is spreading. Spread our know faster!
Moving Day
25 Oct 2006 -- Fellow Assassins: We've moved, obviously. The site is still under construction, but this will be our base of operations for the forseeable future. Announcements about rule changes and joining the next season will be sent out soon.
